The 10th International Plant Biomechanics Conference will be held in Lyon, France in August 2022 - from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th.
The conference is organised as a hybrid event. The time schedule will be based on local time to favour in-person participation.
TOPICS
The conference covers all topics related to plant biomechanics, including
Ecology and evolution
Morphogenesis and pattern formation
Cell walls, cells, and tissues
Mechanosensing and mechanotransduction
Applied biomechanics and biomimetics
Woods and trees
Hydraulics
PREVIOUS CONFERENCES
The first International Plant Biomechanics Conference was held in 1994 in Montpellier, France, and organized by Bernard Thibaut and colleagues. Since then the conference has been held at three-year intervals. The two most recent ones were held in Nagoya(2015) and in Montreal(2018).
Quantitative Plant Biology
The call to submit papers in Quantitative Plant Biology on plant biomechanics is still open:
A satellite workshop will be held during the week (August, 29 – September, 2nd 2022) following the plant biomechanics conference, also at ENS de Lyon, France.
